  • Don’t fall for Disney’s bait and switch

Disney calls this “Volume 1” instead of Season 1 because it won’t include all the episodes from the first season, this is what they do with other shows like Rebels. You’ll be forced to pay for another “volume” to get the rest of the season. It’s deliberately deceptive marketing that relies on that fact that these shows are paid for by parents but watched by kids in order to charge more for less.

The original was ten times better made than this sloppy slapped together style.

3 episodes in, and they are worth repeatedly watching. Sharp humor, fun plot and the triplets have Personality! It's great how the spotlight in each episode is shared equally with almost every member of the cast, and how Scrooge is there in each story, either visibly or off-screen because of how he is tied into their individual stories. Superb writing, and so looking forward to knowing more about the boys' mother!

The spirit of the original series lies within... A great adventure has just begun, I hope we will receive more seasons. Good job.
  • A reboot done right

Not counting the 2012 Ninja Turtles, so far with what I have seen, this is taking something classic and treating it with the utmost respect. People are not trying to act like they know better, but they are taking what people loved about the comics and love about the old show as well as what people love about modern TV shows and even acknowledging problems from the older show and working on ways to improve the problems yet keep what we loved about the original alive. The new voice cast, while I wasn't excited about new actors at first, especially the nephews, I do understand why a younger cast makes more sense considering the age of a lot of the older actors as well as some sadly passing away not too long ago, but in the end, we got a solid new voice cast who brings new life to these characters yet still keeps the traits of them we loved them for as well. David Tennent as Scrooge McDuck is the perfect successor to Alan Young and the three adult men voicing the nephews actually do a good job bringing new and unique flavor to them. The biggest improvements are adding in Donald Duck as a main character as he was in the comics, and fixing Webby's character so she isn't the pwecious stereotype from the original, but more on equal grounds with the boys, and it helps her being a main character this time as well and giving women and girls a role to love in this series as well. I look forward to what this series will bring.

When the trailer came out, I thought that it would be ok at best. Most reboots we get are bad and an insult to the originals. However, this was done amazingly. They have given each character their own individual look and personality. Most would say this is the next Gravity Falls, but no. Unlike our beloved GF, Ducktales does not try to balance out suspense, drama, and comedy. Instead, it comes effortlessly, and id a good, enjoyable show. Lots of people complain that it's not good just cuz they don't have the original actors. WELL GUESS WHAT, HATERS!!!! We have Donald Duck now! The cast is wonderful and the animation is awesome. Ducktales is an amazing reboot, and I couldn't be happier that DisneyXD is continuing Huey, Dewey, and Louie's story. Webby is no longer a girly girl, but now a socially awkward fun character. Huey is now a smart, responsible older brother. Dewey strives on adventure and fun, and Louie relies on TV and laziness. Our favorite Scottish duck, Scrooge, has returned!! Thank you, DisneyXD for such an awesome reboot!🦆🦆😎😎
