Description (Supergirl, Season 1)

Born on the doomed planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped at the same time as her cousin, Superman, but didn’t arrive on Earth until years later after being lost. Raised by her adopted family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to hide the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin. Years later, at age 24, living in National City and working as an assistant for Catco Worldwide Media mogul Cat Grant, Kara has spent so many years trying to fit in that she forgot to ever stand out. All that changes when she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always destined to be. With the help of Daily Planet photographer James Olsen, her bioengineer sister Alex, and the research of the super-secret, off-the-grid Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), who are tasked with keeping the Earth safe from aliens, Kara takes to the skies to protect her world.

Morning, anticlimactic, and predictable. Should I go on? This whole show is like ya on happy pills. No damage, no 'darkness' and no character development from that. It's like the real world doesn't touch supergirl and friends. Very juvenile and kid-ish, like seriously um have you been outside or social at all writers?!?!? I could go on and rant but I won't.... ugh...

This is a great, fun, awesome show. I love this show a lot. I love all of the characters in this show. The girl who plays Kara and her secret identity Super girl. She is really great and she is really pretty. I love how she saves people and I love all of her super powers. It is one of my all time favorite shows ever.

I really enjoyed this season. I like that there is a show that empowers young women. This and the very start of the second season are pretty great but it does, unfortunately, change message part way through next season and becomes painful to watch. This season though? Pretty great.

It's a pretty good show but the flash and arrow are a lot better. I was hoping it would be better because flash and arrow are so good.

Super girl is a fantastic newer show. I'm actually impressed, surprisingly. There are a couple cheesy instances, however I'm very delighted this is barely PG13 material yet packs a very well done dynamic management of action and drama. I love that it's slightly less drama than Arrow and still packs about the same amount of action. I love how ties to Superman are made although distant. Having James Olsen does make a difference and I commend the crew putting it all together. I hope they continue positive progress. Maybe mutual Superman/Supergirl will manifest into something spectacular. Anyway, I remain impressed.
  • Lame, the stupidest thing on tv.

I can not believe how stupid this show is. It's dumb. It was dreadful getting through this season! It's the same thing every episode. Super girl meets a new bad guy, she tries to beat the bad guy, she fails, I laugh, she goes to work, she cries to the guy she loves and the guy that loves her, her annoying boss tells her to do something, she goes home, she talks to her half sister, she goes to fight the bad guy, she wins, I say 'ummm, this is like exactly what happened in the last episode...' The characters stink, the sloppy script is full of not funny cheesy jokes, half the actors can't act. Another thing that annoys me is the fact that she is supposed to be a strong female character, but honestly she's a weak whinny brat. She can't even do anything on her own! Don't waste your time with this garbage, it's so bad! Super Stupid!
  • Decent, but not good enough.

Supergirl should be an iconic character that differs in personality from her male counterpart. Unfortunately, due to the aged concept of a perky super powered cheer leader, she does not differ at all. Combined with a weak script and decent at best acting, the only thing super girl has going for it is the 55 or so years of super hype.
  • I like it
